By booking an appointment with us, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Customer Service Policy. Please read the following carefully.
1. Service Agreement & Contract
By booking a service with us, you are entering into a formal agreement that outlines the terms and conditions of the mobile braiding service. This agreement covers:
- Appointment Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed once payment is made and a service appointment has been scheduled. Any changes must be communicated 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
- Payment Terms: Full payment is due at our booking site on StyleSeat before the appointment is completed. A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your booking.
- Service Scope: The services provided will be clearly outlined at the time of booking. Additional services requested during the appointment may incur extra charges.
- Cancellations & Rescheduling: Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Failure to provide notice will result in a 50% charge of the service fee. No-shows will be charged the full service amount.
- Late Arrivals: Clients are expected to be available at the designated time and location. If you are running late, please inform us at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment. Excessive lateness may lead to a reduction in the service time, and a late fee may be applied.
2. Client Obligations
To ensure the success of your mobile braiding appointment, we ask clients to:
- Provide Clear Access: Ensure that the location where the service will be performed is clean, well-lit, and suitable for styling. This helps us perform our services efficiently and in a safe environment.
- Timeliness: Be on time for your scheduled appointment. If the stylist arrives on time but the client is not present, the appointment may be canceled or delayed, and applicable fees will be charged.
- Hair Preparation: Clients should arrive with hair washed and detangled unless otherwise specified. We can provide pre-service instructions upon request.
- Accurate Information: Provide accurate details about your hair condition, desired styles, and any allergies or sensitivities prior to booking.
3. Legal Liability
- Health and Safety: We take all necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of our clients. However, by booking an appointment, you agree to release STARBRAIDS, its stylists, and contractors from any liability related to injury or allergic reactions that may arise during or after the service.
- Damages: STARBRAIDS is not responsible for any damages to property or personal items during the service. Clients should ensure that valuable items are safely stored before the appointment begins.
- Hair Damage: While we strive to ensure the best outcome for your hair, we cannot be held liable for any damage caused by pre-existing conditions such as weak or damaged hair. Clients are encouraged to discuss any concerns or conditions with the stylist before booking a service.
- Allergic Reactions: If you have sensitive skin or allergies to certain hair products, please inform us ahead of time so we can use appropriate products or adjust services accordingly. STARBRAIDS is not responsible for allergic reactions to products used during the service.
- Photographs and Media: By booking a service, you agree to allow STARBRAIDS to use photographs or videos taken during your appointment for promotional purposes, unless you specify otherwise in writing. These materials will only be used in accordance with privacy guidelines.
4. Confidentiality & Privacy
We respect the privacy of all our clients. Any personal or sensitive information provided for the purpose of booking or completing your service will be kept confidential. We do not share or sell your information to third parties.
5. Disputes & Resolution
In the event of a dispute, we encourage clients to contact us directly so that we can resolve the issue in a timely and professional manner. Disputes must be addressed within 3 days of the service date. If a resolution cannot be reached, we may suggest third-party mediation.

We reserve the right to update or amend this policy at any time. Clients will be notified of any major changes via email or on our website. Continued use of our services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Refund Policy for STARBRAIDS

Thank you for choosing STARBRAIDS for your braiding and natural hair care needs. We strive to provide exceptional service, and we want all of our clients to be satisfied with their experience. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for services rendered.
1. No Refunds for Completed Services
Once a braiding or natural hair care service has been completed, no refunds will be issued. This includes the completion of any braid styles, natural hair care treatments, or other related services. We encourage clients to communicate their needs and expectations clearly prior to their appointment to ensure complete satisfaction.
2. Service Disputes & Issues
If you are dissatisfied with the result of the service or feel that the service did not meet your expectations, we ask that you notify us within 72 hours of your appointment. We will work with you to address any concerns, which may include:
- Rework or Adjustment: We may offer to rework or adjust the style to your satisfaction at no additional charge, provided the service was not altered by external factors after completion (such as personal styling or hair care at home).
- Partial Refund: In some cases, we may offer a partial refund based on the nature of the issue and whether it was a result of an error on our part. Refunds will not exceed 50% of the total service fee.
3. Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Cancellations by Client: If you cancel an appointment more than 24 hours before the scheduled time, you will receive a full refund of any deposit paid. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will result in the loss of the deposit. The remaining service fee will not be refunded.
- Cancellations by STARBRAIDS: If we need to cancel your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances (such as illness, emergencies, or other reasons), you will receive a full refund of any deposit or payment made. We will make every effort to reschedule your appointment at a time that is convenient for you.
4. Late Arrivals and Missed Appointments
- Late Arrivals: If you arrive late to your appointment, the stylist may not be able to complete the full service within the scheduled time. In such cases, no refunds will be issued. You may be charged a late fee, or the service may be shortened, which may affect the final result.
- No-Show Clients: If you fail to show up for your appointment without prior notice, you will forfeit any deposit or payments made. A no-show is considered a breach of the agreement, and the full service fee will be charged.
5. Product Purchases
- Hair Products: If you purchased any products through our service (such as hair care products or accessories), we do not offer refunds for these items once they have been opened or used. Unopened, unused products may be returned for a refund or exchange within 7 days of purchase. Proof of purchase is required.
6. Refund Process
- How to Request a Refund: If you are eligible for a refund or partial refund, please contact us at STAR@STARBRAIDSPORTLAND.COM within 72 hours of your appointment to explain the reason for your request. We may require photographs or additional information to evaluate the issue.
- Refund Timing: Refunds for cancellations or disputes will be processed within 5-7 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of booking.
- Refund Method: If the refund is approved, it will be processed back to the payment method used for the transaction (e.g., credit/debit card, mobile payment app). For cash payments, we will issue a refund via the method that was most convenient for both parties.
7. Exemptions
Refunds will not be issued under the following circumstances:
- Client-Induced Issues: If the dissatisfaction is caused by improper maintenance of the style, hair damage due to external factors, or incorrect product usage after the service is completed.
- Last-Minute Service Changes: Any last-minute changes to the style or service requested by the client during or after the appointment will not be grounds for a refund unless mutually agreed upon by both parties.
- Miscommunication of Preferences: If the client does not communicate clear preferences, allergies, or style requirements in advance, and the result is not to their satisfaction, a refund will not be issued. We always encourage open communication about your desired outcome.
